Phuentsholing, Phuntsholing, also spelled as Phuentsholing, is a border town in southern Bhutan and is the administrative seat of Chukha District. The town occupies parts of both Phuentsholing Gewog and Sampheling Gewog.\

Thimphu, Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, occupies a valley in the country’s western interior. In addition to being the government seat, the city is known for its Buddhist sites. The massive Tashichho Dzong is a fortified monastery and government palace with gold-leaf roofs. The Memorial Chorten, a whitewashed structure with a gold spire, is a revered Buddhist shrine dedicated to Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

Paro, Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.

DAY 1 : TRANSFER FROM BAGDOGRA AIRPORT TO PHUENTSHOLING

Meet and Greet at Bagdogra Airport and move towards Phuentsholing. The journey will take you through the winding roads and dense forest lands of West Bengal.
Reach Phuentsholing by the evening. Check into the hotel, explore the beautiful border town. Dinner and sleep overnight at the hotel.

DAY 02: TRANSFER TO THIMPHU FROM PHUENTSHOLING

After breakfast , After completing the immigration formalities proceed towards Thimphu via the wonderful mystic town Gedu, which is about 9000 ft above the sea and Chukha Dam. On the way, halt at Chojum to take photographs of the confluence of two rivers of Bhutan, Thumpu Chu and Paro Chu. Reach Thimphu in the evening.

Chukha Dam: Chukha region is religiously significant as it has been blessed by many renowned Buddhist masters including the venerable Lama Drakpa Jamtsho in the 17th century. He established the Jabar Goemba Monastery at a site surrounded by five mountains with an auspicious resemblance to the five religious hats worn by lamas. The main relic of this monastery is a holy Phurba or ritual dagger that is said to have flown to the monastery from Tibet. Legend holds that the dagger continues to defy gravity to this day

DAY 03 : THIMPHU FULL DAY EXCURSION

Memorial Chorten, Thimphu: The Memorial Stupa, Thimphu, also known as the Thimphu Chorten, is a stupa in Thimphu, Bhutan, located on Doeboom Lam in the southern-central part of the city near the main roundabout and Indian military hospital.
Changangkha Monastery : The famous Changangkha Lhakhang is an ancient fortress-like temple that is strategically located on a ridge above the city of Thimphu, south-east of Motithang. This famous temple hums with pilgrim activity. The temple was built in the 12th century on a holy location that was chosen by Lama Pharjo Drukgorn who lived in Ralung in Tibet. The temple has served several functions over the years, and it continues to be one of the oldest and amazing structures in Bhutan.
Buddha View Point: A place from where you can get a good overview of the Thimphu valley is from the Buddha point (Kuensel Phodrang). You can pay your obeisance and offer prayers to the Buddha, the largest statue in the country and then walk around and take a glimpse of the valley. Memorial Chorten, Also known as the Thimphu Chorten, The Memorial Chorten(a stupa dedicated to world peace and prosperity in 1974 in memory of the Third King of Bhutan).
Folk Heritage Museum: Giving an insight into the culture of Bhutan under one roof, Folk Heritage Museum preserves and flaunts the folk tradition of the country. Set up in 2001, the museum is set up inside a three-storeyed house, having the soberest facade, which makes the place even more distinguished. Bhutanese cuisine, important trees, farming tools, household objects and whatnot! This impressive museum displays it all.
The oldest historical place in Bhutan, the National Folk Heritage Museum houses the finest and most intricate details of Bhutanese culture within its walls. Giving information about the rural life of Bhutan to tourists, the entire setup has been made such that the tourists can actually feel as if they are a part of this rich culture.
Choki Traditional Art School: Choki Traditional Art School exhibits the dedication of little kids towards art. Established in the year 1999, the school was founded by Thrimdep Choki Dorji who was keen on teaching arts to the rural and economically unstable children. These kids were interested in learning arts but couldn't make it to the National Painting School. Dorji's interest and zeal to keep the art alive, led him to establish Choki Art School.
An excursion here will show you all aspects of Bhutanese traditional art skills, such as wood carving, painting and clay art. Being a tiny place in the valley of Kabesa, Thimphu, the school corridors are adorned with the artwork of young talents.
Simply Bhutan: Simply Bhutan is a living museum that is a successful initiative to conserve the culture and traditions of Bhutan. The majestic infrastructure of this museum is an epitome of ancient Bhutanese architecture, which lost its essence in the modernization era. Apart from its aim of preservation of the rich culture of Bhutan, this project was also aimed at creating employment for many people.
Dechencholing Palace: Dechencholing Palace is located in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, 4 kilometres to the north of the Tashichho Dzong and 7 kilometres north of the city centre. It was built in 1953 by the third king of Bhutan Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Trashi Chhoe Dzong : Also called Fortress of the Glorious Religion it is situated on north of the city on west bank of the Wang Chhu. The Dzong was the site of the lavish formal coronation of the fifth King in 2008 and hosts the city's biggest annual bash, the colorful tsechu festivities. The opening times are 5-6 PM Mon-Fri, 8AM-6PM on Sat & Sun.
National Library: Housing an extensive collection of priceless Buddhist manuscripts; the Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as the PaintingSchool) is where students undergo a 6-year training course in Bhutan's 13 traditional arts and crafts.
Changlimithang Archery Ground: Promoting archery among the locals and visitors, Changlimithang Archery Ground is a good site to try Archery in Bhutan using professional help. Here, one can always find archery enthusiasts practising in the early morning. The Tournaments here are a wonderful spectacle with shooters and their high-tech carbon fibre compound bows. Seeing them hitting the target bulls-eye from a distance of more than 100 metres is truly inspiring.
National Bhutan Zoo: The Takin is the national animal of Bhutan, and looks like a cross between a cow and a goat. Legend has it that the animal was created by the great Buddhist yogi, Drukpa Kunley, and it can be found only in Bhutan. In the evening, return to your hotel and rest overnight after dinner.

DAY 04 : TRANSFER TO PARO FROM THIMPHU PARO FULL DAY EXCURSION

After breakfast, start at Paro for Full Day Sightseeing. Paro is a town and seat of Paro District, in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. It is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered throughout the area. It is also home to Paro Airport, Bhutan's sole international airport.
Rinpung Dzong :is a large dzong Buddhist monastery and fortress of the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school in Paro District, Bhutan. It houses the district Monastic Body and government administrative offices of Paro Dzongkhag. It is listed as a tentative site in Bhutan's Tentative List for UNESCO inclusion.
National Museum of Bhutan: National Museum of Bhutan is a cultural museum in the town of Paro in western Bhutan. Established in 1968, in the renovated ancient Ta-dzong building, above Rinpung Dzong under the command of His Majesty, the King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third hereditary Monarch of Bhutan.
Kichu Lhakang: Kyichu Lhakhang, is an important Himalayan Buddhist temple situated in Lango Gewog of Paro District in Bhutan.
Paro Airport Bird's Eye View Point: Paro Airport Bird's Eye View Point offers an exquisite view of the entire city. With the Paro International airport being in the top ten stunning airports in the world, you can imagine what's in store for you. Amidst the mountains, the sight is so colourful and vivid that one remains awe-struck by the grandeur of the city.

DAY 05 : HIKE TO TAKTSANG TIGER NEST

Wake up and post breakfast head for Paro local sightseeing. Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest Temple) -The most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called Tiger's Nest. Precariously perched on the edge of a 1,200 metre cliff, this monastery creates an impressive sight, and is the unofficial symbol of Bhutan. It is about a 2 hour up-hill hike or horse ride from the parking lot to the monastery. If the full hike sounds a bit tough you can hike for 1 hour to the cafeteria, a wooden tea-house restaurant which offers a good view of the monastery. After a visit to the monastery, spend the evening at leisure in Paro town for some souvenir shopping and get a feel of local Paro town.

DAY 06: TRANSFER TO PHUENTSHOLING FROM PARO

After breakfast, You will be transferred to Phuentsholing. Evening free for Leisure you can visit Phuentsholing Local Market and Zangtopelri Goempa.

DAY 07 : TRANSFER TO BAGDOGRA AIRPORT FOR ONWARDS JOURNEY
