Temples and ashrams (centers for spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free, alcohol-free and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town.

Guptkashi, Guptakashi, Gupta Kashi or Guptkashi is a fairly large town located at an elevation of 1,319 metres in the Kedar-khanda, in Garhwal Himalayas of Rudraprayag district in Uttrakhand, India. It is known for its ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the god Shiva, which is similar to the one in Varanasi.

Badrinath, Badrinath is a Hindu holy town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the four sites in India’s Char Dham pilgrimage and gets its name from the Badrinath Temple.

Devprayag, Devprayag is a town and a nagar panchayat in Tehri Garhwal District in the state of Uttarakhand, India, and is the final one of the Panch Prayag of Alaknanda River where Alaknanda meets the Bhagirathi river and both rivers thereafter flow on as the Ganges river or Ganga.

Haridwar, Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India’s Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. The largest of several sacred ghats (bathing steps), Har Ki Pauri hosts a nightly Ganga Aarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are floated off the steps. Worshipers fill the city during major festivals including the annual Kanwar Mela.

Day 01 - Haridwar to Rishikesh

Get picked up from any of the available options and get transferred to Rishikesh hotel.
After rest, get ready for the most amazing sightseeing trip accompanied by the Ganga whole time.
On your way, you'll be visiting top attractions like Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Parmarth Niketan Ashram, etc.
In the evening, you can explore the local market of Rishikesh.
Here comes the most beautiful part of the journey that is Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat. Witness how Diyas are floating in the Ganga while the bells are ringing to soothe your soul.
After this, head towards the hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 02 - Rishikesh to Guptkashi

Wake up in the morning with the soothing sound of the Ganga river along with bells ringing that provides you relaxation.
Get freshen up and have breakfast because this day mostly indulged in traveling.
Get picked up from Rishikesh Hotel and get transferred to Guptkashi in a private vehicle.
Get a mesmerizing view of Ganga all across the journey.
See the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river at Devprayag.
The lunch stop is at Srinagar which is the best place in the Garhwal region afterwards there is no such facility to have food so make sure you keep all essentials from here only.
Visit a view of Rudraprayag, Ukhimath in the journey.
Once reach Guptkashi get transferred to your hotel.
Visit ArdhNarishwar Temple (If time permits).
Dinner at hotel/ homestay and retire for the day
Make sure to have a good sleep to remove all stress and prepare for the next day.

Day 03 - Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath - Guptkashi | Visit to Kedarnath Temple

Wake up with the mesmerizing view of mountains all across.
Leave early around 5 AM to have proper time to visit the Kedarnath temple.
Have breakfast at the hotel and head towards Gaurikund.
Gauri Kund is famous because this spot is where Lord Gauri lived while carrying out these practices and it was here that Lord Shiva finally admitted His love for Her.
The hike is there from Gaurikund till Kedarnath Temple which is of 16Km one side.
You can take ponies or palanquin for the journey to make it slightly on a comfortable side.
Walk through the beautiful valley and river stream flowing in between both of them.
Have lunch stop in between around Rambara.
Once you are done with this journey it will surely be worthful because you will get to see the Kedarnath Temple, situated right at the center of the valley with mountains on every side looking like they are providing safety to the temples.
This scene will surely bring charm to your eyes.
Indulged in Darshan at Kedarnath Temple, feel the relief when you just close your eyes and see yourself in the arms of the holy divine.
Then head towards Gauri Kund once again so that you can get back to your hotel/ homestay
From Gauri Kund till Guptkashi private car will take you.
Reach the hotel and have dinner.
Rest for the rest of the day.

Day 04 - Guptkashi to Badrinath (210 kms) | Sightseeing across Journey

Wake up in the laps of mountains.
Have Breakfast at the hotel/ homestay and head towards the journey to Badrinath.
Have a beautiful view of the Alaknanda river across the journey.
Visit through most of the sightseeing places like Baniyakund from where you will get to see the peaks of Chandra Shila.
Have lunch on the way wherever the driver stops the vehicle.
Journey then covers Joshimath, Govindghat, and Hanuman Chatti.
Roads are not that much good after Hanuman Chatti but it surely takes something to visit one out four Dham because it is more than what you expect at the end.
Reach to Badrinath around evening.
Badrinath one of the ‘Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters.
Get check in to hotel/ homestay to have some rest after a tiring journey.
Then visit the most religious temple in the whole country the Badrinath temple.
When you get to see the Badrinath Temple, situated right at the center of the valley with mountains on every side looking like they are providing safety to the temples. This scene will surely bring charm to your eyes.
Indulged in evening aarti at Badrinath, when the whole valley is filled with the sound of ringing bells and prayers going on everywhere this will surely provide relief to your soul.

Day 05 - Badrinath to Devprayag (193 km) | Sightseeing across Journey

Early wake up in the morning to visit the Temple for the morning aarti around 4:30 AM.
Get a glorious view when the first ray of sunlight touches the lush mountains and falls on the roof of the Temple, it feels like God is directly giving you the blessing.
Have breakfast afterward at the hotel/ homestay and get ready to return journey to Devprayag.
On the journey you will be visiting Joshimath the winter shrine for Badrinath, from here you will get the view of snow-capped mountains which is 'Auli' which is the best location to visit in winters in the whole India.
The journey will let you across some of the more sightseeing places which are Karanprayag, Nandprayag and see the conflict of the River which slowly forms Ganga.
Have lunch break on the way itself.
Reach Devprayag because today till there only Journey is possible.
Devprayag is the point where the Ganga river form so what's better than to stay here and get a mesmerizing view of it.
Get transferred into the hotel and have dinner.

Day 06 - Devprayag to Haridwar (100 km) | Haridwar Sightseeing

Wake up with the view of the conflict of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River.
Have Breakfast at the hotel/ homestay and get transferred to Haridwar.
Reach Haridwar while passing through Rishikesh.
Once you reach Haridwar get transferred to the hotel and head out for a sightseeing tour.
Visit several places in Haridwar which includes the most famous Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Temple Devi, Pawan Dham, etc.
Afterward, visit the local market of Haridwar to get a look at some traditional things of Uttarakhand.
Then comes the most amazing part of the whole day which is the iconic Ganga aarti at Har ki Paudi.
After which go to a hotel and have a wholesome dinner and retire for the day.
