(2N LAVA/LOLEGAON, 2N KALIMPONG, 1N TRIVENI)

Lava : A small hamlet situated 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of the town of Kalimpong through Algarah in Kalimpong district of the state of West Bengal, India. Lava is situated at an altitude of 7,200 feet (2,195 m). It is one of the few places in West Bengal to receive snow in winter. It is the entry point to the Virgin Neora Valley National Park from Kalimpong.[9] The route to Lava is scenic with the change in vegetation from tropical deciduous to the wet alpine trees of fir, pine and birch. The verdant forests are a popular spot for picnicking, trekking and bird-watching. Lava has gradually become a favorite tourist destination. Temperature decreases below Zero Degree in Winter and increases up to Maximum 30 Degree Celsius in Summer. It is situated on the Silk Route of ancient India- Tibet Trade Practice.

Lolegaon: Located forty-five kilometers from Kalimpong Town this place of scenic beauty can be reached by bus or taxi in two and a half hours. Located in the Gram panchayat of Kaffer-Kankebong, it is a delight to tourists with its Wildlife, Jungle walks through the forests, a hanging bridge inside the dense forest, and a breathtaking view of Kalimpong Town. An amazing view of Kanchenjunga can be enjoyed from here. Tourists can have view sun-rise and sun-set from the observatory here. A significant attraction is The Canopy Walk. There is a 180-meters long hanging wooden tree-top bridge that goes through the dense jungle. Several households cater to the tourism sector by providing home stay facility to tourists. Apart from that, there are several hotels for lodging and eateries of all kind offering local cuisine for a reasonable price.

Kalimpong : A tiny hill station nestled in the northern region of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal. Surrounded by majestic mountains, lush tropical gardens, and crystal-clear lakes – Kalimpong is a paradise for people who love nature. Whether you are an adventure lover, want to enjoy the sweeping views of the mountains, eat mouth-watering food, or visit the beautiful temples and monasteries. The municipality sits on a ridge overlooking the Teesta River and is a tourist destination owing to its temperate climate, natural environment and proximity to popular tourist locations in the region.

Triveni: Triveni is the confluence point of two rivers and you can clearly differentiate as the silver-white flows steadily into the blue stream. The inexplicable beauty of this place can be deduced from the fact that despite the utmost differentiation, nature creates a portrait so beautiful that you will be left charmed by the banks. With lush green forests of Kalimpong Hills as an addendum, Triveni mesmerizes you with the long valley and a much calmer bank to engage in fun activities.
It is all about going a bit further away from the misty slopes of Darjeeling. After a drive of about 1.5 hours towards Peshoke View Point, the path diverges and at the edge of the green Kalimpong hills, you will remain stunned as two silvery-white and sea-green river streams meet at the foothills. Every notion to drive away towards any other destination would be simply cleansed and you will be left with a bewildering urge to trek down and witness this astonishing canvas of nature. I take you today at the less appreciated and deserving destination of Triveni near Darjeeling.
